Blizzard Entertainment unveiled the trailer for Season 2 of Diablo IV as part of gamescom Opening Night Live 2023. A major content update is scheduled for release on October 17, 2023.
The second season in Diablo IV will be dedicated to vampires. As part of the new storyline, players will join forces with the ghoul hunter Eris, voiced by actress Gemma Chan (The Eternals, Transformers: The Last Knight). In this case, the heroes themselves will be able to use the abilities of vampires.
In addition to story content, the authors of Diablo IV promise to add five additional bosses to the game, which high-level characters can fight. In the same patch, the developers will update the rewards for exploring the world, change the stash and storage system for gems, and also revise the mechanics of resistance to elemental damage.
Earlier, against the background of the release of the first major patch, the rating of Diablo IV dropped to 2 points out of 10 – users did not like the changes. In an official statement about the situation, Blizzard noted that the developers will not repeat such mistakes again.
