“Diablo IV” Open Beta: Terukazu Yoshida’s Obsessive Gaming Diary on GameSpark – International Gaming News Platform.

This time, it is scheduled to be released on June 6, 2023 from Blizzard Entertainment.“Diablo IV”Play Open Beta Early Access! Needless to say, this is the latest work in the monumental Hakusura ARPG “Diablo” series.

In the past, I’ve delivered picture diaries for “Diablo III: Eternal Collection” and “Diablo II: Resurrected”, and I was so addicted to them that they affected my real life!

Even when I come home from an all-nighter at work and want to fall asleep as soon as possible, I eat a solid breakfast. I forget.

I guess I’m going on a “Diablo” diet this time too!

◆ Play style changes depending on the weapon you pick up

In the open beta early access, you can choose from three classes: a barbarian who excels in close combat, a sorcerer who masters magic, and a rogue who handles long-range attacks.

In the previous work, I played as a necromancer, so I thought that this work would be the same, but unfortunately, in the open beta early access, I could only choose the above three classes. Hmm, let’s make it a rogue then!

Next is the creation of the character’s appearance. We will combine prepared parts such as hairstyle, skin color, and tattoo type to make it.

A rogue with a mohawk green hair and a tattoo that looks like he’s spilling eye shadow is complete! I named it “YSD (Yoshida) OJISAN”.

Uncle YSD, who was wandering in the snowy mountains, lost his horse and stayed in a cave to escape the cold. At this rate, I’ll freeze to death, so I head out of the cave to find a shelter to keep me warm.

As soon as the enemy appeared, slash it with the initial equipment dagger! Rogue seems to be able to use not only long-range attacks but also short-range attacks.

I found a small town, but it seems that this town is in danger because of the demons in the ruins. Uncle YSD says, “I’ll kill you before you get killed!”

Discover new daggers on the way to the ruins. It’s not very rare, but I’m happy that it increases attack power even a little. At first, I thought it would be a long-range build with a bow as the main weapon, but melee attacks would also be fun.

When I was thinking about it, I got a bow with a higher rarity, so I easily switched from a dagger to a bow. Once you get a weapon with a high rarity, you’ll want to try it out.

◆Once you get the equipment, the next step is the skill!

Uncle YSD is very happy to have obtained a rare bow. He continued to acquire armor such as pants and shoes.

It’s nice to be able to get new weapons and armor, albeit with high rarity and low rarity. Even so, there are a lot of equipment with “Haseo” in the name.

This is not because Mr. Haseo takes off his clothes and throws them all over the place. I’m not very knowledgeable, so please correct me if I’m wrong.

I wonder if it’s like “Idaten Honyarara” in other games. Anyway, the equipment has been enhanced, so next is skills.

At first, there are only basic attack methods, but as you level up, you can acquire various skills with the points you receive.

I’m at a loss as to whether to allocate points to the same skill to strengthen the skill itself, or to acquire various skills to broaden my tactics.

It’s fine to train skills such as Rapid Fire, which attacks directly, but Tetsubishi, which is a set-up trap, seems to suit my play style of fighting while running around. Alright, let’s swing all the skill points to Tetsubishi!

Allocated skills can be reset at any time by paying in-game currency, so you can enjoy various builds!

◆I’m a loner, but I’m not a loner!

After that, I got good equipment that enhances the poison effect, so I learned the Poison Trap skill. Tetsuryo and Poison Trap have a trap-type skill, but each has different characteristics, so there’s no problem.

First, attack with a bow skill from a distance, then use a dash skill to rush into the middle of the enemy’s formation, set up a tetsubishi and a poison trap, and then dash away again!

Thanks to this tactic, I was able to deal with it without danger even if I came across a large group of enemies. It feels so good!

Speaking of hordes of enemies, there are area events where hordes of enemies attack when you enter a specific area on the world map. Within a certain period of time, hordes of enemies will spawn one after another.

Unlike previous numbering series, this work adopts an open world system, and it is a game similar to MMORPG, such as being able to see other players adventuring on the map.

This work can be played cooperatively with up to 4 people, but even if you are not forming a party, you will find yourself fighting with other players. In fact, I was helped by other players several times.

I don’t have any friends that I can casually ask, “Let’s party together!”, so I’m very grateful for this system!

During the open beta early access period, I cut down my sleep and meal times and just played.

Thanks to that, I was able to enjoy various builds of Rogue, and I was able to create characters of other classes and enjoy them repeatedly.

As I wrote above, it was great to be able to easily fight with other players without forming a party! It was a big help for me who basically played alone.

I was able to play up to the first chapter in this open beta early access, but I was surprised that I could play this long. When the product version is released, I wonder how many dozens or hundreds of hours will be spent on it… I’m looking forward to it!

“Diablo IV”PS5/PS4/Xbox Series X|S/Xbox One/Windows(Battle.net) will be released on June 6th.
