Diablo Immortal has been downloaded more than ten million times, making it the best launch period of a Diablo game ever. However, this stat is a lot less impressive when you consider that Diablo Immortal is free, while all other Diablo games just cost money. So it’s definitely not a fair comparison.
However, Blizzard has had a hard time in recent years – and especially in recent months thanks to a lot of bullshit around the company. Diablo Immortal has also had a bad image since the game’s announcement (“do you guys don’t have phones?”). No wonder that Blizzard chose to put the game in the spotlight for a while.
However, a good starting period is not everything. Diablo 3 had sold 30 million copies in August 2015, according to Blizzard.
Diablo Immortal is not available in the Netherlands and Belgium, for the following reason: “This is related to the current operating conditions for games in those countries.” We don’t know whether the game will ever come to the Netherlands and Belgium in one way or another.
