Blizzard Entertainment will release a free trial version of its new action RPG Diablo 4 on Steam for exactly one week starting today (22nd). Free play time is until 3 a.m. on the 29th, Korean time.
Diablo 4 is currently being sold on Steam for 50,700 won, with a special discount price applied to commemorate Black Friday. The Digital Deluxe Edition and Ultimate Edition are priced at 73,740 won and 81,840 won, respectively, and the discounted price is also available only until the 29th when free play is provided. Even though a discount rate of about 40% was applied, the price of 50,000 won can be a bit burdensome, so it seems that they suggest that you play the first part for free and then consider purchasing it.
This free trial version can be played by anyone who has never experienced Diablo 4 before, and by anyone over the age of 18. In the free-to-play build, you can raise your character up to level 20, and you can use all content without any additional restrictions as long as it is within the level 20 limit. The progress made in the free trial build can be continued after purchasing the main game. Additionally, it supports cross-play, so if you purchase the Steam build, you can enjoy the game with friends on multiple platforms, including Battle.net.
Meanwhile, Blizzard Entertainment is holding an in-game event, ‘Mother’s Blessing’, on all platforms, including Steam, until 2 a.m. on the 28th. If you play Diablo 4 during this period, you will receive Lilith’s blessing and the experience points and gold coins you gain in all world stages of the Season Area and Eternal Realm will increase by 35%, allowing you to progress through the game quickly.
Players who are enjoying the Season of Blood can use this event to quickly raise their battle pass grade and level, complete the season journey, and challenge ‘Zir’s Slaughterhouse’, one of the final content of the season. Zir’s Slaughterhouse is a special dungeon featuring powerful monsters and enormous rewards, and is scheduled to begin on December 6th.
