Those who are eager to test Diablo 4 right now have a golden opportunity as the game is free to test via Steam until November 28. However, it is not really the entire game that is opened up for testing.
Steam’s ongoing Fall Sale isn’t just a great opportunity to get your hands on Diablo 4 at a reduced price. During the sale, it is also possible to play the game without having to open the wallet at all. Until November 28th, Diablo 4 is available to install and play with no restrictions on the time spent in the game.
However, this free test comes with a relatively large drawback. Players can only reach level 20 on their characters as long as you don’t take and pay. Most people shouldn’t have too much of a challenge to get to this level as the game currently has an event that increases earned gold and experience points by 35 percent. If, however, you would like to continue playing past level 20, the game as previously mentioned is included in the autumn sale.
Right now, the price tags for all editions of Diablo 4 are reduced by 40 percent. The standard version of the game is available during the sale for 42 euros, the Digital Deluxe Edition costs 54 euros and the Ultimate Edition goes for 60 euros.
Diablo 4 received a fairly lukewarm reception at launch. On Steam, at the time of writing, there are 6,104 user reviews of which 64 percent are positive. Despite this, Blizzard has confirmed that the game will receive at least one expansion pack. The first expansion pack goes by the name Vessel of Hatred and will be launched sometime in the fall of 2024.
