Diablo 4: Fortresses and very low hardware requirements

With the public beta coming up Devil 4 Blizzard talked and revealed more details. In the latest stream, the developers showed how it will look like in the fortresses (in the original Strongholds), how the armor system works, what players will get for playing the beta and surprised by very low hardware requirements.

The first phase of the beta for pre-orders will take place from 17 to 20 March. For all interested parties, the servers will be open from 24 to 27 March. There will be a prologue and the entire first act to try outwith heroes you will be able to reach level 25.

There will also be online for 4 players, local co-op for two and you will choose between the Barbarian, Rogue and Sorcerer classes. You can create up to 10 characters on one account, but none of these will carry over to the full game.

If you play the beta more, you can reach three rewards that will come in handy in the full version:

  • Initial Casualty Title: Earned when you reach Kyovashad with one character
  • Early Voyager Title: Earned by reaching level 20 with one character
  • Beta Wolf Pack cosmetic item: obtained by reaching level 20 with one character

The authors also state that they are working on optimization. They want almost everyone to play Diablo 4. Therefore, the game should run even on computers with lower than minimum specifications. This applies to dual-core processors, integrated graphics cards and hard drives.

You should be able to play the Diablo 4 beta if you meet the recommended requirements in native 1080p resolution. Ray tracing it will be available sometime after the full version is released.

The full version of Diablo 4 will be released on 06/06/2023 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
