Diablo 4 Cheating Scandal: Ranked Mode Filled with Cheaters, Blizzard Does Nothing

Six months after the release of Diablo 4, developers from the Blizzard Entertainment studio have finally launched the ranked mode that fans of past games in the series have been waiting for. Unfortunately, their joy quickly gave way to disappointment. The lists of rating leaders are literally filled with cheaters who occupy the first lines and openly brag about it in the game. To make things even more disappointing, Blizzard hasn’t done anything about the scammers yet.

Patch 1.3.3 for Diablo 4 added unique challenge modes that allow players to complete fixed dungeons with the same rules for everyone. By quickly clearing dungeons, killing monsters and opening chests, you can get points, thanks to which a general leaderboard is formed.

Almost immediately, the top of the leaderboard in Diablo 4 was occupied by dishonest players who took advantage of the new exploit. Players have discovered that they can start with a powerful buff from open-world shrines, giving them a huge advantage over those starting from scratch. A player who can start with the Sanctuary buff can not only complete the route much faster, but can even create a build based on having a specific buff. Diablo 4 streamer Rob2628 demonstrated a sorcerer build that uses a similar strategy.

Players can only hope that Blizzard will finally fix the exploit before the start of the second week and deprive cheaters of the opportunity to be immortalized in the permanent seasonal leaderboard.
