GIULIANOVA. Civil lawyer and support teacher, but also former city councilor esteemed by all for his meticulous preparation on every topic. All this was Lorenzo “Lollo” Di Teodoro52 years old, passed away yesterday due to illness. Di Teodoro worked for years in the former mayor’s law firm Francesco Mastromaurobut many citizens remember him for his political experience as a municipal councilor and group leader, from 2014 to 2019, of the civic list “Francesco Mastromauro mayor”. From right to left everyone highlights his passion and his never banal interventions during the council meetings.
His passing affected the entire city, where his grandfather had opened the historic “Marechiaro” ice cream shop at the beginning of Corso Sauro. The former mayor Mastromauro, with whom Di Teodoro shared work and political experience, was very tried. «He was like a younger brother, a great person both humanly and professionally», says Mastromauro, «and in the councils he held his own against the representatives of the opposition». One of his closest friends is the former president of the city council, Jurghens Cardboard. «From today Piazza Fosse Ardeatine will no longer be the same», writes Cartone in a note, «I remember in the council, when on a complex legal issue no councilor was able to express himself and, after a few minutes of embarrassing silence, he asked me to speak and the result was a decisive and impeccable speech that enchanted the entire assembly. The mayor at the time approached me and told me: Lorenzo is another level.”
The current administration also expresses its condolences for the passing of Di Teodoro. “In these hours of great pain”, underlines the mayor Jwan Costantini«we embrace the family with affection. We feel that we represent and interpret the condolences of the city of Giulianova, which loses an exceptional person, a man who had made civil commitment a lifestyle. Lorenzo will be missed for his smile, generosity, moral qualities and beauty of character.”
Di Teodoro leaves behind his wife Laura Prosperidaughter Giulia, sister Valeria and parents Gheri and Paola. The funeral home has been set up in the Gerardini funeral home, and the funeral will take place today at 3pm in the church of San Pietro Apostolo.
