PARIS – An unpleasant incident happened to the family of Paris Saint-Germain players (PSG), Angel Di Maria. Di Maria’s house was attacked by thieves when he was playing in the PSG match against Nantes at the Parc des Princes, Monday 15 March 2021, early morning WIB.
The news of the robbery of Di Maria’s house was first discovered by PSG officials who watched the match in the stands. They are trying to tell the people on the PSG bench of the news.
PSG’s Sports Director, Leonardo de Araujo, also communicated with the coach, Mauricio Pochettino. After learning the news, Pochettino pulled out Di Maria and replaced him with Leandro Paredes in the 61st minute.
The Argentine tactician told his compatriot about it in the hallway leading to the changing room. According to reports RMC, Tuesday (16/3/2021), Di Maria cried when she rushed to leave the Parc des Princes to go to her house.
Di Maria burst into tears because she was worried about her wife, Jorgelina Cardoso, and her two daughters. However, Di Maria’s family was okay with the incident because they didn’t realize that a thief had entered their house.

Meanwhile, at the same time, the PSG captain, Marquinhos, also received bad news, that his father was the victim of a violent robbery. Marquinhos’ father was fine after this frightening incident and Marquinhos continued the match against Nantes until the end.
However, Marquinhos’ existence could not help PSG to get out of the trap of defeat. Les Parisiens-nicknamed PSG- narrowly lost 1-2 from Nantes. According to Pochettino, events outside of football contributed to PSG’s defeat to Nantes.
“There was disappointment at dropping three points, but the group is worried about things you may already be aware of. “There are situations outside of football and can explain the second half,” said Pochettino, quoting from The Sun, Tuesday (16/3/2021).
“It’s not an excuse, but it encourages a drop in energy. In the first half, we talked about things other than football,” he said.
According to L’Equipe’s report, Tuesday (16/3/2021), PSG will fund 24-hour security for its stars after a series of robberies. For your information, before Di Maria and Marquinhos, Mauro Icardi and Sergio Rico also experienced robberies earlier this year.
