Electricity prices are rising
Half of the local electricity suppliers announced price increases as of January 1, 2020. The reasons for the adjustments are the increasing EEG surcharge and higher electricity grid fees. According to comparison portals, the additional costs for a model household with a consumption of 4000 kilowatt hours are around 70 euros per year or just under six euros per month.
DHL increases prices
From January 1st, DHL will increase parcel prices for private customers. On average, prices rise by up to three percent. DHL then charges 4.79 euros for the DHL Päckchen M in the branch. So far, the package has cost 4.50 euros there. The DHL package is up to 10 kilograms more expensive. The price rises from 9.49 euros to 10.49 euros. The price for the DHL Parcel rises by two euros to 31.5 kilograms. In the branch, it will then cost 18.49 euros instead of the previous 16.49 euros.

ADAC contributions are increasing
For over 20 million members of the ADAC, contributions will also increase for the first time in a long time in the first half of 2020.
From April 2020, the basic tariff will no longer cost 49 euros, but 54 euros. The Plus membership no longer costs 84 euros, but a whopping 94 euros. The increase in contributions was decided at an extraordinary general meeting in November.
