TANGERANGNEWS.comThe trend of cases of exposure to dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) in the South Tangerang area has increased quite high.
So far, there have been 349 cases of people exposed to the disease due to the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito.
“From July to November, there has been an increase in cases (DHF),” said Head of the South Tangerang City Health Office, Alin Hendalin Mahdaniar, Monday, November 22, 2021.
In January, there were 35 cases recorded. However, every month, these cases can be reduced to a significant decrease.
However, when entering the month of July, the dengue cases increased again. It was recorded that there were 29 people who were exposed to DHF.
Then, in the following month DHF cases continued to increase, up to 30 cases in August. Continued into September, there were as many as 32 cases.
“In October there were 43 cases, and it increased again this November. From November 1 to 15, there have been 63 cases of DHF,” he explained.
In total, from January to November 15, there were 349 cases. Although there was an increase at the end of the year, the number of cases of exposure to DHF this year as a whole tended to be less when compared to the number of cases that occurred last year.
“Overall, the accumulated number this year is less than last year, which reached 498 cases,” he explained.
However, he still asked the public to remain vigilant by applying the 3M pattern as a precautionary measure.
“We are still vigilant because the rainfall is high. Shelters that become mosquito breeding grounds must be established, stick with 3M, drain, close, and recycle, and avoid mosquito bites. Anyway, our program, one house, one jumantik, must be encouraged,” he concluded.
