Jakarta (ANTARA) – The South Jakarta Health Sub-dept. (Sudinkes Jaksel) stated that there was a decrease in the number of dengue fever (DHF) cases in the region in 2021 as many as 592 cases compared to 2020.
Head of the South Jakarta Health Sub-dept. M Helmi in Jakarta, Friday said that throughout 2020, DHF cases in South Jakarta reached 1,016 cases out of a total of all regions.
Meanwhile, until November 10, 2021, the number of dengue cases was recorded at 424 cases.
“Alhamdulillah, the number of dengue cases in South Jakarta in 2021 has decreased significantly from 2020 and in November, there was one dengue case,” said Helmi.

Helmi added that his party gave the highest appreciation to all elements of society, from the larva monitoring cadres (Jumantik), PKK, Dasa Wisma and all community members who have jointly made various efforts to prevent dengue.
In line with this, Head of the PKK Mobilization Team for the South Jakarta Administration, Essie Munjirin, invited all elements of society to continue to improve mosquito nest eradication activities, both by Jumantik cadres and independent Jumantik cadres carried out by residents.
“I invite all elements of the community, the PKK team, Jumantik and dasa wisma to re-invigorate the mosquito nest eradication movement (PSN) in their respective areas and in their homes,” said Essie when conducting PSN activities at the Environmental Dormitory, Lenteng Agung Village, Jagakarsa .
Essie hopes that with the intensified PSN activities, the number of dengue cases can be handled properly. “Hopefully this PSN activity will reduce the current DHF rate,” he said.
