The round of 16 starts on 21 December. at 19:00 the duel between the two promoted first divisions ASV Hamm-Westfalen and VfL Gummersbach. At 19:30 the second division team HC Elbflorenz 2006 welcomes TBV Lemgo Lippe and MT Melsungen the Rhein-Neckar Löwen.
The next day at 19:00 the duel in the north between SG Flensburg-Handewitt and HSV Hamburg is scheduled. This is followed by three more matches in which, among others, the defending champion THW Kiel competes in Bietigheim.
On 22 November, Eulen Ludwigshafen and reigning German champions SC Magdeburg will determine who Bergische HC can go to in the quarter-final fight. Subsequently, the programming of the last match of the round of 16 will also be carried out.
