Dharma Pongrekun-Kun Wardana fulfills the requirements for an independent candidate for the DKI Gubernatorial election

During a plenary meeting, the DKI KPU announced the Pair Dharma Pongrekun and Kun Wardana meet the support requirements and can register in the Jakarta 2024 gubernatorial election through independent channels.

“Pak Dharma Pongrekun and Kun Wardana meet the requirements as possible candidate pairs for governor and deputy governor for November 27,” Jakarta KPU President Wahyu Dinata said in Jakarta, Thursday ( 15/8).

The Head of the DKI Jakarta KPU Election Implementation Technical Department, Dody Wijaya, explained that this was decided after the Jakarta KPU held a plenary meeting to review the results of the second fact-check.

The results of the second factual verification reached 826,766 supporting data that passed administrative verification. Then, data that meets the support requirements is 494,467 and data that does not meet the support requirements is 332,299.

“So if you add up the data that meets the requirements for the first true verification, there are 183,001 supporting data, the total number of prospective candidate pairs in the final data iteration results that meet the data requirements 677,468 and which is higher than the minimum support. requirement of 618,968 supports,” explained Dody.

Dody said that the DKI KPU would make an official order confirming the fulfillment of support requirements on August 19.

Dody said Dharma and Kun just had to register as independent/non-party candidates. The registration table is open 27-29 August 2024.

“Just register on the 27-29, and then one step later on the 19th, we will announce that we confirm the fulfillment of the requirements to support individual candidates,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dharma Pongrekun expressed gratitude for the hard work of the DKI Jakarta KPU and Bawaslu. He also expressed his gratitude for the unity of the team that allowed him to run in the Jakarta gubernatorial election.

“And the results that were read earlier, which we passed because we crossed the lower limit, that’s all because of the grace of God and the loyalty of the team so far,” said Dharma.

“There are no other words, all the cooperation of the KPU and Bawaslu who always guide and correct the work of the team so that we understand and improve from time to time,” he said.
