The artist, Dhafer El Abidine, revealed the most prominent differences between the movie “A Nose and Three Eyes 2024” and the version of the late artist Mahmoud Yassin in the 1970s.
He said during an interview with the “Last Word” program with the journalist Lamees Al-Hadidi, broadcast on the “ON E” channel, on Saturday evening, that the character of Hashem, which he embodies in the movie “A Nose and Three Eyes” 2024, differs from the character of Hashem presented by the late artist Mahmoud. Yassin, saying: “The situation has changed, the relationships of the cables are now different, the traditions have changed, and there has been a development in the relationships of men with women, and the treatment is different, so it is natural for the film to be different.”
He pointed out that the status of the artist Mahmoud Yassin will remain firmly established in the hearts of his fans as the most important actors in Egypt and the Arab world, explaining that the scenario of the new film presents a different topic that makes comparison between the two films out of the question.
He explained that the current film focuses on the character of “Hashem” from the psychological aspect, trying to understand his way of thinking and the reasons for his instability in his unbalanced relationships, while the 1970s version focused on women’s relationships, continuing: “Cables who in the year 2020 will find themselves in the film.”
“Dhafer” revealed his passion for films and social dramas that simulate societal relationships, explaining that what attracted him about the character of “Hashem” was the complex psychological aspect, where his actions contradict his inner feelings.
He stressed that life is not only black and white, but tolerance and honesty are the key to any successful relationship, continuing: “The most important thing is for a person to be comfortable and meet the person he loves. It is difficult for a person to have his entire history white, as there is no one infallible from mistakes, and the easy thing for a person to say is right and left. But when there is emotion; “Things change, and tolerance and honesty are important.”
