DFSK Mini EV ready to be sold in RI next year, estimated price of IDR 200 million

DFSK is ready to fight in the affordable electric vehicle segment. Its electric car product, the Mini EV, which was exhibited at the 2022 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS), will go on sale in Indonesia next year with an estimated price tag starting at IDR 200 million.

“DFSK is committed to supporting the development and growth of the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia through various technologies that have been developed and tested in various other parts of the world. This commitment is therefore not limited to just introducing and educating the public about vehicles electric vehicles, but DFSK is ready to continue the effort in 2023 by showcasing domestically produced EVs produced by the nation’s children and increasing the variety of models on offer,” PT Sokonindo Automobile (DFSK) CEO Alexander Barus said in Jakarta on Wednesday (14/12/2022).

In 2023, DFSK is taking steps to start tracking EVs through DFSK factory located in Cikande, Serang, Banten. The first model that has been prepared to be born from the hands of this nation’s children is an electric commercial vehicle, the DFSK Gelora E.

DFSK Gelora E will start its new journey in the Indonesian automotive market and is said to have received a very positive response from various quarters. Since it was commercialized in 2021, the demand for DFSK Gelora E is said to have continued to experience significant growth.

The presence of the locally produced DFSK Gelora E should be able to present more cost-effective electric commercial vehicles without compromising the high quality that has been implemented since the start of operations in the country.

DFSK’s electrification strategy does not stop at the Gelora E, other models such as the DFSK Mini EV are also ready to be presented to enter and enliven the Indonesian market. This tiny electric car is said to have an affordable price, in line with the capabilities of Indonesian consumers.

“(Mini EV) we will present the fastest one at IIMS (2023), the latest one at PEVS (Periklindo Electric Vehicle Show 2023). There are two types, the 220km and the 150km. We will definitely go to Indonesia,” they said Sales and Marketing Director PT Sokonindo Automobile (DFSK) Rifin Tanuwijaya.

“The price range is around Ro 200 (million) to Rp 220 (million),” Rifin said.
