DFSK consumers sued PT Sokonindo Automobile (DFSK Indonesia). The thing is, cars DFSK Glory 580 is not strong uphill. The car that was complained about was the DFSK Glory 580 with a 1,500 cc turbo CVT transmission engine.
Through his attorney David Tobing, seven consumers DFSK Glory 580 Turbo CVT 2018 sued PT Sokonindo Automobile and six other parties as DFSK authorized dealers and workshops. The lawsuit is registered by e-court (online) at the South Jakarta District Court with registration number: PN JKT.SEL-122020BS2 dated December 3, 2020.
DFSK was sued to be responsible for providing material compensation equal to the total purchase price of the consumer’s vehicle. The material compensation demanded by the consumer is IDR 1,959,000,000. In addition, consumers are also demanding immaterial compensation of IDR 1,000,000,000 with a total immaterial loss of IDR 7,000,000,000. The total demands for material and immaterial compensation reached Rp. 8,959,000,000.
According to David as a lawyer, his client has filed a complaint with DFSK regarding the problem he is experiencing. The car that was complained about being difficult to climb has also been repaired. But the problem still arises.
“Even after fixing or upgrading the software, he said the workshop, still can’t,” said David to detikcom via telephone, Friday (4/12/2020).

“They already know how to drive properly like how. They have all been treated (using low gear and so on). According to their experience (consumers) technically there are problems,” he said.
One of the DFSK Glory 580 Turbo CVT 2018 consumers who sued DFSK said that he experienced two times that the car was not strong enough to climb. It happened when the car was used on vacation out of town, to be precise in the mountainous region of West Java.
“I have complained, then they have already updated it in the CVT section with the word selenoid being updated, hopefully it can go up, he said. Okay, I’ve been updated since my incident. After that I asked them to do joint testing. That means points I am that I want to be both objective, don’t let us think that they don’t go up, in my opinion it’s not fair, according to him it’s fair. According to him, as long as he owns the car, the DFSK Glory 580 1.5 turbo CVT is used properly. He also had the experience of a car failing to climb during stop and go even though the passengers were not full of 7 people, but only 4 people, two of whom were young children.
“Since I sent a letter to apply for testing with them, they have always avoided it. Then the pandemic. I asked for joint testing there was no news. Finally, we summons, the summons did not find a way to find it until now (filed a lawsuit),” he said.
The customer shared his experience when he brought the DFSK Glory 580 1.5 Turbo CVT to a mountainous area in West Java. On a narrow uphill road, the car could not go up until it retreated to start up again.
“Fortunately it was behind empty. So I went down, backed down to the bottom. Backed down, then I went up again to take a square,” he said.
“So the story is that I went up on an incline, then from the front there was a car, the road was narrow, so it stopped. Then I wanted to ride the vehicle again and not go up.
