The Danish boat between Copenhagen and Oslo has had to turn around after it touched the dock on the way out.
– Due to the weather conditions, the Oslo ferry has been in contact with the dock at the UN building in the harbor of Copenhagen. The ferry is now safely moored and will soon be inspected by the authorities, says DFDS press officer Dennis Sørensen to NTB.
It was Danish TV 2 who first reported the incident.
Sørensen says that it is the ship Pearl Seaways that came into contact with the quay. The authorities must approve the ship before it is allowed to sail from Copenhagen.
– No one is injured, says the press officer.
The storm, which in the UK has been named Babet, also had consequences for air traffic in Denmark on Friday.
At Kastrup airport in Copenhagen, 71 flights were canceled on Friday morning. Flights were also canceled in Aarhus due to the weather.
In Denmark, there may also be long-term power outages for up to 1,700 households in South-East Jutland due to high water levels.
