The second round of the DFB Cup will be drawn by lots. Olympic canoeing champion Ronald Rauhe decides the fate of the 32 clubs that have overcome their opening hurdle in the cup. EXPRESS.de reports in the live ticker.
Cologne. Between the Bundesliga and the international break, the DFB Cup was also in focus on Sunday (29 August). In the ARD “Sportschau”, canoeing Olympic champion Ronald Rauhe (39) drew the 16 matches of the 2nd round from 6.30 p.m.
After FC Bayern won 12-0 at Bremer SV on Wednesday and VfL Wolfsburg’s objection to the end of the Green Table was finally thrown out on Thursday, all 32 participants for the sixteenth-finals were decided just in time. EXPRESS.de accompanied the draw in the live ticker.

In the past season, the draw for the 2nd round resulted in just three direct Bundesliga pairings. There have been top duels over and over again in recent years. 2019/2020 between Borussia Dortmund and Borussia Mönchengladbach, a year earlier between the foals and Bayer Leverkusen. In 2017/2018 FC Bayern went to RB Leipzig.
