Stuttgart / Cologne – The first round of the DFB Cup was triggered. It is now clear who VfB Stuttgart, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim, SC Freiburg and all other clubs from the south will meet – at least almost.

Second division soccer club SV Sandhausen welcomes runners-up RB Leipzig in the first round of the DFB Cup. That was the result of the draw on Sunday in Cologne.
For SV Waldhof Mannheim there is a reunion with Eintracht Frankfurt, against whom the Mannheimers were eliminated in the first round in 2019 after a spectacular goal.
The Baden-Württemberg Bundesliga clubs were given easy tasks: VfB Stuttgart will meet the representative of the Berlin Football Association, who has not yet been determined.

SC Freiburg has to travel to the second division relegated Würzburger Kickers. TSG 1899 Hoffenheim plays for third division club Viktoria Köln.
The other matches are 1. FC Heidenheim at Hansa Rostock, Karlsruher SC at Sportfreunde Lotte and SSV Ulm 1846 against 1. FC Nürnberg.

Oberligist FC 08 Villingen welcomes Bundesliga relegated FC Schalke 04. The game will be played from August 6th to 9th.
