The participants in the DFB Cup 2021/22:
In addition to the 36 professional teams from the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga from the past season, the four best-placed teams from the 3rd division from the previous season are sure to be there. In addition to these 40 teams, there are the 21 regional cup winners as well as one team from each of the three regional associations with the largest number of members: Bavaria, North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony. Numerous decisions were made on the final day of the amateurs, others only later due to the corona. The DFB’s registration deadline is July 1st.

18./19. January 2022: Round of 16
1./2. March 2022: quarter-finals
19./20. April 2022: semi-finals
21. Mai 2022: Final in Berlin
The DFB-Pokal 2021/22 live on TV:
As in the previous year, the pay TV broadcaster Sky will broadcast all 63 games live. ARD shows nine games per season live on free TV – one in each of the first two rounds, two each from the eighth to semifinals and the final. Free TV broadcaster Sport1 has the rights for one game from the first round to the quarter-finals. The broadcasting rights will soon be reassigned for the seasons 2022/23 to 2025/26.
