Frankfurt/Main (dpa) – The people of Breisgau have to pay 67,000 euros after their supporters lit at least 67 Bengal fires at the DFB Cup final on May 21 in Berlin. The association may use a third of the sum for security or infrastructure measures. This also applies to Leipzig, who have to pay 24,000 euros. RB fans had ignited at least 18 Bengal fires, two smoke bombs, a blinker and a rocket in the game.
With the fine of 15,000 euros imposed on Union on Monday, the sports court punished unsportsmanlike behavior by Berlin fans in the Bundesliga game against VfL Bochum on May 14. At least 15 Bengal fires and incense were lit.
