The time has finally come: after FC Schalke 04 have been confirmed as the last participant with a 4-1 victory over 1. FC Schweinfurt, the pairings for the second round of the DFB Cup can be drawn on Sunday. In the ARD– “Sportschau” (6.30pm), the 32 teams in total will be split up in the two lottery pots. The regional league teams SSV Ulm, SV Elversberg and Rot-Weiss Essen are still in the sub-league, as well as Dynamo Dresden and Wehen Wiesbaden from the third division. The favorites are also staring at the draw: Who will defending champions FC Bayern meet? Who do Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig attract?

Because of the corona pandemic, the draw will be held in the TV studio in Cologne instead of in the German Football Museum in Dortmund. Alexander Bommes moderates the show, DFB Vice President Peter Frymuth serves as the drawing director. Losfee is the former national player Inka Grings. The games in the 2nd main round will take place shortly before Christmas this year: on December 22nd and 23rd. The draw live in SPORTBUZZER-Ticker.
