For the reigning champions (FC Bayern) and the DFB Cup winners (Leipzig/Frankfurt), the 1st main round will not start until 26/27 in view of the DFL Supercup. September.

The draw for the 1st main round will take place on June 18th.

The 18 clubs in the Bundesliga and the top 14 in the 2nd Bundesliga are in pot one and are drawn to a lower-class opponent who can claim home rights.
