On Wednesday, February 3rd, at 6.30 p.m., the game will take place in the local VW arena. And Sport1 will broadcast the duel live on free TV. In Pay TV, the game runs parallel as usual on Sky. VfL deservedly won the league duel between the two teams 2-0 in November.

VfL had clearly prevailed in their first two cup games this season: In the first round there was a 4: 1 against Union Fürstenwalde, in the second round a 4: 0 against SV Sandhausen. For opponents Schalke it was the only competition in which there were competitive game victories in the league during the 30-game series without a win. But only against lower-class opponents: 4-0 against Schweinfurt 05 and 3-1 against SSV Ulm.
