The games of the first main round of the DFB-Pokal will be played on August 6th, 7th and 8th, one week before the start of the new season in the Bundesliga.

Eintracht Frankfurt: Ex-junior coach Broich draws the DFB Cup

The games of the first main round in the DFB-Pokal will be drawn by Thomas Broich. The 40-year-old was last season, together with Jerome Polenz, coach of the U15 of Eintracht Frankfurt, but resigned after the season at his own request. The draw will take place at 6:30 p.m. as part of the ARD sports show.

There will be a special feature at the DFB draw. The German Football Association announced that there will be a “neutral” ball on which there is no club, but only “BFV participants”. The reason for this is that a club appealed against the BFC Dynamo as a participant of the Berlin Football Association at the DFB Federal Court.

Meanwhile, coach Adi Hütter looks back on the unpleasant end at Eintracht Frankfurt – and ahead of the “great club” in Gladbach. As reported, André Silva is moving from Eintracht Frankfurt to league competitor RB Leipzig. The Hessen collect up to 25 million euros for the striker. (smr)
