Update from October 1st, 7:36 p.m.: The draw of the 2nd round in the DFB Cup is finished. FC Bayern will be visiting 1. FC Saarbrücken in a few weeks. Dortmund – This Sunday evening (from 7:10 p.m.) the 2nd round of the DFB Cup will be drawn on the ARD Sportschau. The venue is the football museum in Dortmund. Ticket fee Shkodran Mustafi will draw from two pots.
All clubs from the Bundesliga and the 2nd Bundesliga are in one of these pots. In the other pot, the so-called amateur pot, all clubs from the leagues will be included. A total of 32 clubs remain. The 2nd round will be played on October 31st and November 1st, 2023.

The clubs from the amateur pot are always drawn first and are drawn against a professional team. If the amateur pot is empty, only the professional pot is drawn. This means that explosive duels between top teams are already possible in the second round of the DFB Cup.
