DFB Cup: Ostderby in Chemnitz, Dynamo against Stuttgart, BVB at 1860, Frankfurt in Magdeburg

Dortmund – After the cup is before the cup! Just eight days after RB Leipzig in the final of the DFB Cup against SC Freiburg (4:2 i.E.) bagged the first major title in its history, Sunday night is the 1 round drawn for the coming season.

Losfee was world champion and cult kicker Kevin Großkreutz (33), the drawing in the German Football Museum in Dortmund was accompanied by DFB Vice President Peter Frymuth (65).
Defending champion RB Leipzig got one of the easiest draws with regional league team and cup newcomers FC Teutonia Ottensen 05. Record champion FC Bayern Munich is a guest at third division club FC Viktoria Köln, Bundesliga runners-up Borussia Dortmund got an attractive draw with TSV 1860 Munich.
The inferior cup finalist SC Freiburg got a cracker – it goes to second division promoted 1. FC Kaiserslautern!

DFB Cup: Dates of the 1st main round for the 2022/23 season
The 1st main round will be held from July 29th to August 1st. Exceptions to this are Bayern and Leipzig, who due to the Supercup duel (July 30th) will only play their games on August 30th and 31st respectively.
Die Bundesliga starts the season on August 5th, the 2. Bundesliga already on July 15, followed by the 3. Liga on July 22nd.
