The volleyball players of Deya Sport started with a clear victory at the start of the efbet Super Volley. The Burgas team defeated as a guest Rakovski 1964 (Sevlievo), who returned to the elite, with 3:0 (25:16, 25:21, 25:16) in a first round championship game. It was a gift of sorts for Valentin and Georgi Bratoevi, who are celebrating their birthday today.
Apart from head coach Francesco Cadedu, central blockers Teodor Todorov and Nikolay Nikolov were absent from the squad. However, Burgas had the lead for most of the match.
In the first part, the two teams played evenly until 6:6, after which Deya scored three consecutive points and led with 9:6. The guests gradually increased their lead and closed the game with a big margin for 1:0.
The hosts stormed in the second part and after 6:6 surprised the opponent, in turn breaking away with three points 9:6. They continued to be ahead until the middle of the game 17:17. After that, the Burgasians got into a rhythm again and took the lead with 19:17. They did not allow any more surprises and closed the game for 2:0.
In the third part, Deja took a commanding lead 9:3, took it unhindered and closed the match in three games.
Scorer for Deja was Zachary Palankai-Omoshebi, who finished with 16 points (4 blocks). Valentin Bratoev added 9 points for the success (1 ace, 1 block).
