Devolver is the only label in the industry that practically holds a celebration for its late arrival projects.
Slippage of releases is not particularly unusual in this industry. Sometimes an infinite amount of money and human resources are not enough to solve the problems that arise during the development process, so even small and large projects can be delayed for weeks or months.
This is when the employees of the PR department come, blushing and announce that “this will definitely need a little more time in the oven”, then everyone goes about their business. Since this time it’s Devolver Digital, the usual formula has obviously been overturned, because nothing happens normally at this publisher.
Devolver decided to hold a “press conference” to let the world know that a bunch of games will be pushed to next year. The just three-minute “Devolver Delayed Showcase 2023” listed what to expect and when in a Nintendo Direct-style presentation.

Apart from The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood, nothing from the 2023 line-up has yet received an exact date. While we know that the latter will be released on August 16, 2023, the remaining four projects are only expected “sometime this year,” and since “sometime this year” covers only four and a half possible months, we’d guess that both October and will arrive here between December.
