Devin Booker led the Suns to a thrilling victory over the Clippers in Game 5 of their first-round series, scoring a playoff career-high tying 47 points. In a magical third quarter, Booker outscored the Clippers 25-24 by himself and set a franchise record for scoring in a single quarter of a playoff game with a total of 50 points. Phoenix’s plus-26 margin in the third quarter was also the club’s largest positive differential in a single quarter in franchise playoff history. The Suns’ win allowed them to close their first playoff series at home in 16 years. Kevin Durant also had a stellar performance, scoring 31 points and setting a career playoff outing with 30 points or more for his 73rd time. The Suns now face the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference semifinals.
