Devin Booker Scores 47 Points in Must-Win Game to Lead Suns Over Nuggets in Playoffs

Led 2-0 by the Nuggets, Devin Booker and the Suns had to react at home tonight. The Phoenix All-Star guard responded to the urgency of the situation by equaling his personal record in the Playoffs: 47 points! A monstrous performance that allowed the Suns to relaunch in the series.

After the defeat of Game 2, we were mainly expecting Kevin Durant on the job, he who had struggled well in the second round. During the first twelve minutes that night, KD was once again in trouble shooting, but fortunately his great friend D-Book did not experience any delay in ignition. Quite the contrary.

Devin Booker’s stat line is maddening. Scoring 47 points in a Playoffs match is already reserved for an elite. To score 47 points while missing only five shots and attempting only two shots is in the realm of the supernatural, even more so for a guard.

From start to finish, Booker was simply unplayable. At all levels. Devin proved once again that he absolutely had all the weapons in his offensive repertoire, equaling his career record in the Playoffs. And as if that weren’t enough, D-Book also contributed in the other aspects of the game, as so often since the start of the postseason. On the rebound (6 takes), in the playmaking without Chris Paul (9 assists), but also in defense where he continues to weigh (3 interceptions in particular). Great art.
