CIMAHI, iNews.id – The Cimahi City Health Office (Dinkes) reminds the public not to have sex free sex out of wedlock because they are prone to disease transmission. The reason is the health office data shows dozens of Cimahi residents are infected with HIV/AIDS due to deviant sexual behavior.
“For this year until June there were 20 residents of Cimahi City who were infected with HIV/AIDS. The causes were dominated by free sex, changing partners, and same-sex sex,” said the HIV-AIDS and STI Program Holder, Health Office, Cimahi City. , Mulyono, Thursday (1/12/2021).
He said, the case of HIV/AIDS is like an iceberg phenomenon which is feared to continue to grow from the data reported. In Cimahi City, the total number of recorded cases since 2005 has reached 542 people.
Of the total patients, 58 people died. At the moment of World AIDS Day which falls on December 1, the Cimahi City Health Office reminded the public not to have free sex.
“Moreover, it is done by men who have sex with men (MSM) or women with women. This habit can be fatal to health, such as contracting HIV/AIDS or PLWHA, which can result in death,” he said.
