Development of graphics card prices: stagnation and rising prices again

Less than a month ago, we reported that the decline in graphics card prices has stopped, which has been confirmed over time and now the new numbers from 3DCenter.org, where the real prices of cards in the German market close to us are monitored. However, the Germans can also watch Radeons become more expensive for them since July, while GeForce is still slightly cheaper, for which we can see various causes. –

It could be a combination of allegedly increased production of GeForce cards, which AMD is said to have little to do with, and the impact of the introduction of new LHR versions of GeForce cards with significantly reduced Etherea mining performance, which probably contributes to better availability.

In any case, we cannot expect the card prices to reach the recommended amounts really soon. Maybe in some cases it will happen in the fall, while in the case of the Radeons it will be more complicated.

But what about our market? The development of prices is in the spirit of smaller fluctuations and it can be said that the Radeons RX 6000 reached the current prices sometime at the beginning of the holidays and since then it is not possible to talk in general about a further decline in prices, but not about rising prices. It is rather individual, although in recent days there have really been signs of rising prices, with the best offers so far appearing at the end of July.

Unfortunately, in the case of the GeForce RTX 3000, it is very similar. For example, MSI GeForce RTX 3060 VENTUS 2X 12G OC could be purchased in July for 18 thousand crowns, not that it would be an extra advantageous offer, but then it became more expensive now, we now have to scratch at least 19 thousand from our wallet. On the contrary, the MSI GeForce RTX 3070 VENTUS 3X OC became slightly cheaper, while the price of the 3070 Ti version has a very similar development course as the above-mentioned 3060. Overall, the price situation in our graphics card market did not improve much during the summer holidays.

However, Etherea miners can rejoice, whose currency, after the May carom and the subsequent slapping around the $ 2,000 mark, has started to rise steadily again and is now not far from doubling its value, for which only a month could be enough. But, of course, it remains to be seen whether this is not just another shudder against the longer decline, which came in 2018. But so far again overall mining output is growing, which shows that some of the capacities reported by China are once again coming online and the total volume of remuneration for miners is growing (also due to rising transaction fees), although it is still far from the May peak.
