no man.. real souls game at first sight.
Understand that you feel that way. Whether it’s the perspective, the ambiance. What that boss fight looks like. But…. for me 70% of the souls experience is ‘exploration’. That’s why I found Sekiro a bit weaker at the end of the game. Way too many boss fights in a row, while it just felt so absurdly good to move through that world.
World design, interconnections, secrets, lore and so on. Souls at first sight doesn’t really exist like that. Because the real Souls experience is anchored deeper and more completely in the world. And all the details have to be right. That’s why one Souls game is better than the other. Or well, at least I think so.
I am very curious how Wukong presents the entire world. I also don’t find the boss fights as ‘methodical’ eyes as with Souls and I also have the impression that you are under much less pressure. There are many Souls bosses where you really have to look for holes to use your ‘healing’ at all. Wukong looks a bit chillier. And that’s fine by the way. Not everything has to be a Souls copy. I’d rather not even.
