The fire in Eschborn-Niederhöhestadt broke out at around 2.46 a.m., the police said early Wednesday morning.
Accordingly, it initially burned for reasons that are still unclear on the first floor of the house. The flames then spread to the attic.
The ablaze burning semi-detached house is currently uninhabited and would be renovated, it said.

“The property damage is estimated at several 100,000 euros,” added a police spokesman.
No one was injured in the fire.

The neighboring semi-detached house was also damaged during the extinguishing work. The residents initially stayed with neighbors. Other residents were also evacuated as a precaution, but have since been able to return to their homes.
“The extinguishing work was completed at 5:30 a.m.,” the spokesman reported. The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
