Devastating fire in Capelle under control: ‘I see my pension going up in smoke’

Several companies are located in the business complex. Owner Wim Schipper watched with pain as part of the building went up in flames. “Last year I also had a fire at Ondernemershuis and now again,” he tells Radio Rijnmond. “It’s unprecedented. Now I see my pension going up in smoke.” Schipper owns the 23 industrial buildings, of which he estimates seven or eight are on fire. The fire has spread so that people can now look across the building and see what is happening inside. Spring rolls are made and sold in the building.
