Deutsche Bank Completes Migration of Postbank Accounts: What It Means for Customers and Investors

This weekend, Deutsche Bank wants to complete the migration of Postbank accounts to its IT systems. Two million savings, credit and current accounts are converted. Markus Voss explained what that means for customers and investors on the TikTok channel from “René wants yield”.

Deutsche Bank has been gradually converting Postbank accounts to its IT systems since spring. So far, a lot has gone wrong, sometimes even ATMs have gone offline. The last big step follows this weekend: From Friday evening (June 30) to Monday morning (July 3), around two million accounts are to be migrated. This involves mortgage lending, savings and checking accounts.

This also changes the access data for most customers, which is why many fear that they will no longer be able to get their money on Monday.

Above all, analysts see the advantages of the change: Deutsche Bank wants to save 300 million euros a year from 2025. Since they recommend buying bank shares anyway, because big banks usually benefit from higher interest rates, a buying opportunity could arise at Deutsche Bank next week: If there are problems with the changeover, the price may fall below the 9 euro threshold . This is where professionals such as the experts at the Bernecker stock market compass currently set their buyout limits.
