In March 2023, news emerged about a project aimed at porting the classic Deus Ex to Unreal Engine 5. Today, a new video dedicated to its development was released. It also includes numerous gameplay clips, as well as comparison scenes between the original version and the remaster.
DXU24 is trying to make Deus Ex fully playable on Unreal Engine 5. This means that the mod will take advantage of some of the new graphical and technical improvements in Unreal Engine 5. For example, we can expect improved lighting. Plus, the ultimate goal is to offer a top-notch virtual reality experience.
Although the modder claims that DXU24 is not a remaster, this is not entirely accurate. As you can clearly see, there are a ton of improvements to lighting and graphics.
Unfortunately, DXU24 will not be a free mod. It is only available by subscribing to Patreon.
