Practical exams to obtain the National Driving License (CNH) in Salvador will now be carried out on the new track of the State Department of Traffic (Detran), at Shopping Bela Vista. The new space, which is located on Floor G 0, was delivered this Wednesday (6) by the agency.
The space has around four thousand square meters of reserved area. The forecast is that around nine thousand exams per month will be carried out on site, including tests for two and four wheels, candidates with disabilities, drivers in categories C and D. This new lane replaces the old one, which was located at the Detran headquarters, next to the Bus Station.
“The track was built in partnership with Shopping Bela Vista, in the form of lending, that is, at no cost to the State, and involved an investment from the Government of Bahia in the order of R$ 2.7 million and R$ 500 thousand from the mall. It is a safer and more controlled space for the test, so that Detran examiners can evaluate future drivers who will travel on public roads in Salvador and throughout the state”, says the general director of Detran, Rodrigo Pimentel.
He also says that the new track model will be taken to the interior of the state, with implementation in cities such as Vitória da Conquista, Juazeiro and Lauro de Freitas.
