The long days of waiting are over. There was a muffled explosion at 12:13 p.m. on Friday. The Deník reporter heard him in the zone near Kopist, where journalists could stand. Pyrotechnicians must inspect the site, then decide on the next course of action to return to normal.

Pyrotechnicians said they had completed protective measures at midnight, which included, for example, 440 big bags of sand. They also secured a building that is located near the found cougar.

Firefighters and pyrotechnicians secured the nearest containers with dangerous substances by placing containers stretched with insulating material in front of them. Then they built 120 pieces of heavy concrete blocks between the building and the containers.
“We have never used so many big bags and other elements to prevent the consequences of an explosion. We are doing everything to prevent injuries and damage to property,” said Čadil, adding that thanks to all the measures, they expect only a small leak of the pressure wave.
