Setting a budget is not the most enjoyable part of planning a wedding, but a well-prepared budget makes everything easier if you don’t want to start your married life in debt.
Sit down and think about the most important things you want for your wedding and put them into categories as follows:
1. The elements that are essential at the wedding and you are willing to spend more on them.
2. The things you want, but don’t have to.
3. The ones you think can be let go. In connection with a wedding, there are many additional elements that may not be important to you.
There is no right or wrong answer!
If you want to spend more on the dress of your dreams, but it is not important for you to have a separate bouquet or if you do your own make-up for the Big Day, so be it!
Think about how much you want to spend!
If you can afford a more expensive wedding, it doesn’t mean that you have to spend everything on it. It might be better to put it aside to start your life together.
