Detention for poaching in Braga

The Braga PSP announced the arrest of two citizens aged 25 and 28 years old, as they were hunting goldfinches for later sale.

“The detainees were seized seven birds, cages, bird-producing equipment, as well as other tools related to the crime in question,” said the PSP.

The birds and their cages were delivered to the Institute for Nature and Forest Conservation.

The detainees were notified to appear in the Braga District Judicial Court.
