The publishing house “Pētergailis” continues to publish the book series “Detective Snipe” by the popular Polish children’s writer Mariana Orlonis in Latvian. The third book in the series has just been published – “How Detective Snipe surprised Jaunliepinas”, informs the publishing house.

The first book in the series “Detective Snipe’s Last Adventure” introduces readers to Detective Snipe and his trusted helper, the dog Cuba, as well as the investigation of the first crime, while the second book in the series “Detective Snipe and the kidnappers” will reveal to his little readers dog cuban disappearance.
The latest, third book in the series, “How Detective Snipe surprised Jaunliepinas”, contains three stories.
The events described in the stories are mentioned in previous books among the brightest achievements of both resourceful friends. Writer Marian Orlon (1932–1990) has written many popular works for children and young people. The author has received the highest literary awards for his lifetime contribution to literature, including the prestigious Polish Cabinet Award.
Jerzy Flisak (1930–2008) – is a well-known Polish artist, graphic artist, illustrator, author of satirical drawings. He has illustrated more than 70 books for children and adults and received many prestigious awards.
