In Sweden, the royal family has settled in the new reality and starts with a surprisingly full autumn calendar. But there is nothing to be seen of Princess Madeleine (38) far and wide. She has other worries.
This is what Princess Madeleine is doing in Florida right now
Over 12,000 Covid 19 deaths and a school start for Leonore (6) with many question marks in Florida. At least the family dares to leave the house more. In Florida there is a strict mask requirement with high penalties for infringement in order to enable life with restaurants again.
Madeleine and her family are also exercising more in the fresh air again. The new family dog that they bought in the spring is even more encouraging. “Svensk Damtidning” writes that the princess and her family were recently spotted at the seafood restaurant Sea Grill of Merrick Park. On the way there, the family, with the exception of little Adrienne (2), wore cloth masks.

According to “Svensk Damtidning”, Princess Madeleine was always in doubt as to whether living in Florida was the right decision in the long run. Husband Chris (46) loves to be here. The Florida sun makes life easier in many ways for the whole family and here he feels far enough away from the public attention that life at the side of a Swedish princess brings with it.
Madeleine is missing in Sweden
There is much speculation in Sweden about how happy Madeleine really is. Especially the isolated life in the USA and the impossibility to travel to her beloved home Sweden due to the corona crisis have to gnaw hard on her. No physical contact with the family and with her large circle of friends at home, missed family reunions, birthdays, weddings.
But not only Madeleine is homesick for Sweden. The Swedish media also miss the beautiful princess. Johan T Lindwall, editor-in-chief of “Svensk Damtidning”, admits this frankly. Even if Madeleine has found a new home, as a member of the royal family, she is expected to show herself to the public every now and then. But when that will be is in the stars.
