The next Xiaomi Mi Band 7 could arrive very soon
The Xiaomi Mi Band 7, the latest fitness tracker from Xiaomi, has had various information leaked ahead of its launch date, which is believed to be in June. It will share quite a few features with other popular fitness wristbands like the Garmin Vivosmart 5 and the Fitbit Inspire 2but it seems that it will be much cheaper.
The previous model, the Xiaomi Mi Band 6, is available for less than 50 dollars (993 pesos) in the United States. According to the sale list discovered by iGeekPhone, the Xiaomi Mi Band 7 is likely to be sold at a similar price in the West, and its price in China is CNY 279, the equivalent of about 40 dollars (794 pesos).
This is a very good price for a bracelet that looks like it will build on what the Mi Band 6 already offered, a budget device with sleep tracking capabilities, blood oxygen monitoring, stress signal tracking throughout the day, 30 different fitness modes and a battery life of 14 days.

This is the NFC version of the 7, which stands for “near-field communication,” a technology that allows devices to automatically recognize and communicate with each other. This technology, for example, allows contactless payments from the wrist. The Mi Band 7, like its predecessor, is expected to arrive in models with and without NFC, and rumors point to a June release date.
ANALYSIS: THE BEST QUALITY-PRICE RATIO
The Xiaomi Mi Band 7 is expected to go on sale in June and, like its predecessor, it looks to be a cheap fitness tracker packed with great features.
You won’t be able to connect with some of the more established fitness ecosystems like Garmin Connect or Fitbit Premium, but for the price, it’s a great mix of features usually associated with higher-end trackers like heart rate monitor.
This new updated version of the budget tracker is sure to find an audience among people who just want a no-frills band for workout tracking, and don’t want to pay for a premium service (like Fitbit) or buy a device that costs more figures (like the Vivosmart 5).
A larger screen could also appeal to potential smartwatch buyers looking for a budget solution, but we’ll have to wait for the official announcement to find out more.
