The MBC channel and studio group announced the details of the Saudi series “Dakkat Al-Obaid”, which is one of Shahid’s original works, and the platform will start showing it today.
The series is produced by MBC Studios, written by Heba Mashari Hamada, and directed by Saad Weslati. It stars elite stars from Saudi Arabia, the Arab world, India, the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and others, from Saudi Arabia: Fayez bin Jeris, Al-Anoud Saud, Hashem Najdi, Nawaf Al-Dhafiri, Haneen Turkestani, Nizar Al-Sulaymani, Saeed alqahtani.

In a press release, MBC described the production of the work as huge, indicating that it brings together more than 200 actors and actresses, and its scenes were filmed in more than 8 countries.
The producer designed and built 4 ports and 5 ships that simulate time and events. Action scenes were filmed in more than 104 impressive natural locations within a number of countries and geographical regions.
Work uniforms reflect the cultures of the regions to which the characters belong in that era, as their number exceeded 4,700 specially designed uniforms.
In terms of the scenes that were filmed at sea, more than 35 huge interior and exterior decorations for the work were built, which included 4 ports, in addition to the construction of 5 huge ships in a style that reflects the stage and work events.
The events of the work, written by Heba Mashari Hamadeh and directed by Saad and Salati, take place in the nineteenth century and narrates five human stories that occur in parallel to five personalities in different and distant geographical regions, before the fates of the heroes of those stories who unite them meet the tragedy of falling captives of slavery at a time when trade spread.
