The countries of the world are experiencing an energy crisis due to a very high oil surge. Related to this, Pertamina as an energy SOE makes plans to balance aspects of national energy security and corporate conditions.
Pertamina not only maintains supply nationally, but also per region to gas stations. The stock required for each region is different for the type of product.
“We don’t generalize the amount for all regions, but adjust it, because there are areas with high diesel fuel, some high Pertalite, there is also Pertamax. We try to look at this one by one with the digitization of gas stations,” said the President Director of PT Pertamina ( Persero), Nicke Widyawati in a written statement, quoted on Saturday (9/7/2022).

The major challenge in the downstream sector is the sharp increase in the economic price of the product. When compared to the economic price, fuel selling price and LPG set by the Government is very ambiguous.
Then, as of July 2022, Solar CN-48 or Biosolar (B30) is sold at a price of IDR 5,150 per liter, even though the economic price reaches IDR 18,150. So for every liter of diesel, the government pays a subsidy of Rp. 13 thousand.
Temporary Pertalite, the selling price is still Rp 7,650 per liter, while the current market price is Rp 17,200. So for every liter of Pertalite paid for by the community, the Government subsidizes Rp. 9,550 per liter.
Likewise for PSO LPG (3 kg LPG), where since 2007 there has been no increase, the price is still Rp 4,250 per kilogram, where the market price is Rp 15,698 per kg. So the subsidy from the government is 11,448 per kilogram.
For Pertamax, Pertamina still set a price of Rp 12,500. Whereas for RON 92, competitors have set a price of around 17 thousand. Because economically the market price has reached Rp. 17,950.
