Jakarta –
Hajj Fees 2023 borne by the congregation increased by IDR 29 million to IDR 69,193,733.60. This amount has increased from the previous Rp. 39.8 million in 2022.
This was conveyed by the Minister of Religion (Menag) Yaqut Cholil Qoumas when giving a presentation at the Working Meeting with Commission VIII DPR, Thursday (19/1) yesterday.
When compared to the previous year, in general the costs for the 2023 and 2022 Hajj are not much different, namely in the range of IDR 98 million per congregation. However, what makes the difference is the amount of costs borne by the community and the value of the benefits received.
In the previous year, the cost of the pilgrimage trip was IDR 98,379,021.09 with a composition borne by the congregation of IDR 39,886,009.00 (40.54%) and the benefit value (optimization) of IDR 58,493,012.09 (59.46 %).
Meanwhile, in 2023, the cost of traveling for the pilgrimage is IDR 98,893,909 with a composition borne by the congregation of 69,193,733 (70%) and a benefit value (optimization) of IDR 29,700,175 (30%).
“So the benefit fund or in common language people often say that the subsidy is reduced, only 30 percent remains. The 70 percent is the responsibility of the congregation,” Yaqut said after the work meeting.
