Mahmoud Al-Qayati, a member of the Media Center, revealed The General Authority of Meteorology Details of the heat wave these days, explaining that the rise in temperatures will continue in all parts, reaching a maximum of 38 degrees in Cairo, and a minimum temperature of 27 degrees.

A member of the Media Center of the General Authority of Meteorology added, in exclusive statements for the seventh day, that the heat wave was caused by our influence on what is known as the heat dome, which is an extension of an air rise in the upper layers of the air that traps hot air in the layers near the surface of the earth with the increase in hours of sunshine, which works On the surface of the Earth, we are affected by the seasonal India low, which brings with it hot and humid air masses.

He stressed that the heat wave will continue for the next 10 days, but by the end of this week the temperatures will decrease slightly by one or two degrees, but the weather will remain very hot during the daytime periods with the continuation of this wave until the beginning of next week.

Al-Qayati gave a number of important advice to citizens, foremost of which is the need to avoid exposure to the sun at noon and avoid exposure to the sun for long periods, as well as drinking plenty of water, soft drinks and cold juices, wearing light-colored loose clothes, and being in well-ventilated places.

And today, Monday, the rise in temperatures continues, so that moderate weather prevails in the early morning in all parts, very hot and humid during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northeastern coasts, South Sinai and South Upper Egypt, hot on the northwestern coasts, moderate and humid at night on all over.

The Meteorological Authority also expects that today will witness wind activity in some limited areas, with the continuation of high levels of humidity, and mist in the morning on some roads leading to and from Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, the Canal cities, and central Sinai.

As for the temperatures, today, Monday: Cairo, high 38 degrees, felt 40 degrees, low 26 degrees, Alexandria high 33 and low 25 degrees, Matrouh high 32 degrees and low 22 degrees, Sohag high 42 degrees and low 27 degrees, Qena high 44 degrees and low 28 degrees, Aswan The high is 44 degrees and the low is 30 degrees.

It is noteworthy that the summer solstice this year, 2023 AD, occurred at (5:59) pm, Cairo Summer Time, on Wednesday, June 21, and the length of the summer season this year is 93 days, 13 hours, and 52 minutes.
